18 months ago, I would not have described myself as antiZionist. And these accusations haven’t made made me less likely to advocate for peace and justice in Palestine. But they have made me realize that, if these kind of beliefs are part of “progressive” Zionism, I am in fact, anti that.

I appreciate being called out when I do things that are racist or bigotted. I want to recognize and repair the harm caused by my white, christian, colonial heritage. But if mourning dead Palestinian babies is enough to earn me the label of antisemite, it’s hard for me to take that label seriously

This conflation of pacifism or even antiZionism with antisemitism seems wildly counterproductive: if everything is antisemitic, nothing is. If everything is antisemitic, we enable Trump to disappear people based on their calls for peace.
