In 1972 RBG was working to end sex & gender discrimination. When a male lawmaker asked Pat Schroeder, a former 12-term Congresswoman, how she could be a wife, a mother and a Congresswoman she replied "I have a brain and a uterus, and use them both." I was 13 and this made a big impression.
