A self-portrait. I've been thinking about my identity as an artist, given I don't make money through art. When asked what I do, I default to the job that pays the bills. I try now to introduce myself as an #artist but it feels like a lie. Anyone else struggle with this?

Completed piece! This commission began with a request for the black and white #cat who passed last year. While working on the painting, the tabby sadly passed as well. I am truly honored to have been trusted to paint these #portraits, and hope they bring much needed comfort to the owners. 🐈🐈‍⬛
