still waiting for my copy to arrive. "According to the publisher, it will be available in October." October is halfway over. When, local bookstore, when???

Luckily, I was born a bit too early (1980) to get into the books (the first one was released when I was 17, if I am not mistaken) and (later) the movies.

I started using Opera in 2000 (version 4 when they introduced tabbed browsing). Last year I switched to Brave, mostly due to Opera became a victim of feature creep (IMHO) over the years and is now slow as molasses.

If SWE will win tonight, will they wear bronze helmets during the last minutes of the game? Yep, I'm still mad at them for the stunt they pulled 12 years ago in the final against SUI. Even if anything other than a win of SWE would have been a surprise back then, I felt it was rather disrespectful.

Please, Sir, take that back. My mum's favourite song is "San Francisco" (the Version sung by Scott McKenzie). And yes, she is a Boomer born in the mid 50s.

Fun (as well as totally irrelevant and pointless) fact: The German dub of the 1985 Bond movie "A View to a Kill" has "silicon" translated as "Silikon" which actually means silicone. Silicon in German would be "Silicium" or "Silizium". (I did say the fact is irrelevant and pointless, did I?)

This is me right now. Back in the day, I saw no reason to watch SG-1 (DS9 and VOY was still on and then ENT (Yes, I liked that show!)). Watched 1st Season of SG-1 now and BAM, Ronny Cox/Edward Jellico... One of the best (*controversial opinion) Captains in Star Fleet trying to shut them down :-)
