I am a Gen X mom who loves to sew, craft, create, cook/bake, watch films and listen to a variety of music. I have a goal to create a "Me-Made" wardrobe. Disabled, but not unable to chase my dreams.
While hibernating, I did make this cool pillow, which is currently wrapped up for a birthday that's a couple months off. Pattern by Hooked by Kati

I haven't been here much. Mostly fighting over the blankets and visiting doctors.

Nearly finished these overalls today. I just need a couple of grommets for the bib ties, presently using safety pins. Pattern from Patterns for Pirates.

Biggest question on my mind, what should I wear to a Wu-tang concert?

After a 3 day allergy test, all they could come up with was a reaction to the tape holding the test strips. So, I am still a mystery. 2 very different episodes of allergic reactions since late November, and still unknown to what.

So incredibly itchy. Allergy test strips have been on my back for 3 days. Unsure if I am reacting to the tape, or the chemicals. In the doctors office waiting on my reading and some anti-itch meds

Whipped up a couple loaves of Blake's Triple Berry Jam Hard Cider bread yesterday. One was a gift to the neighbor, the other was a sample, I had never baked this particular blend.

I have been making little mock outfits for my mannequin, Iris. She will be better dressed than I, at least in muslin.

These were delivered to my doorstep from an admirer. I feel seen.

The fabric did eventually become pants.

Someone I know with a medical degree in psych posted this regarding Project 2025, they want us all depressed and listless:

At some point, I want this to become a pair of pants, but the fabric has other ideas.

In a campaign to keep busy, I sewed up Mimi G's Annie pattern yesterday.

Good Morning! I broke out the fancy dishes for breakfast.
February 6, 2025 at 1:35 PM
Spent the day prepping patterns for future makes in my dining room by cutting and taping A4 pages. One pattern was 26 pages, the other 39. I was starting to get a bit frustrated toward the end, but I managed to get them done and cut out. I am now hoping that my arthritis will allow me to cut fabric

Sewed my own Birkin style Kelly Bag, a kit from Babylon Leather. Took me a couple weeks due to needing arthritis breaks, but she is done! Now I might need to sew myself a pretty frock to go with.

One of my newest toys. So far, we made a lovely tasting persimmon bread together.
Sorry, haven't been here much, still maintaining my other Soc. Media pages and managing to exist in the non-digital world.

New Dryer arrives today. Not too soon, I have things to wash and dry before I leave tomorrow for Syracuse,NY, provided the stars align.
Map for reference, Flint is nearest larger town, so I have a bit more than that to drive.

Current view. He's taken up space on my chest and neck for the moment. Enjoying what little time I get, he's grown more attached now that he doesn't stay here fulltime.
