Sustained partnerships are the best partnerships. Joined Seisen International School. This year we dove into the #coteachingadventure.

So grateful to see how the teachers meaningfully engaged as they rumbled with new ideas and worked to be flexible in their #instructionaldesign.

Happy Birthday to Beth Puma Consulting! 8 years old!

I think over the years I've found the nuance of my voice. I've met some incredible educators and students along the way. And I'd like to think we've had some fun too.

Finishing up a 7 month partnership with a school here in Tucson. Bittersweet. We were working to find our #collectiveefficacy through our #instructionaldesign in #earlyliteracy. I’ll miss the teachers and I’ll miss the kids.

I had a great time yesterday, presenting with International School Services #ISSedu on Dynamic Differentiation.

Participants moved beyond the basics, disrupting misconceptions, and walked away with lots of #differentiation strategies, with a layer of reflective questioning to guide students.

This week, I dug these up from some teaching materials I had created in the past for a client, and figured I would pass them along.

I find that #LearnerDisposition goals (or ATLS, ESLRs, or whatever your school calls them) are nice posters in schools, but really how do we live them in our classes?
"A digital educational chart with three sections: 'Learning Target,' 'Language Target,' and 'Portrait of a Learner Goal.' The Learning Target states, 'I can gather evidence to support my questions in order to speak knowledgeably and precisely for Socratic Seminar.' The Language Target states, 'I can ask questions, using question collocations, in order to speak precisely at Socratic Seminar.' The Portrait of a Learner Goal asks, 'How can a question unlock new understandings for my classmates?' with a note on creativity: 'Pursuing and expressing novel ideas and solutions.' It was a beautiful day in Prairie Hills Elementary District 144 in Chicago at the inaugural EDI conference. So many dedicated and loving educators and school staff rumbling in the complexity of #EDI work in order to serve their students. What a pleasure!
