I'm part of a local "Buy Nothing" group on FB and if someone wants to get rid of pickles they say "I have pickles I don't want" and then people reply "interested!" and if there is a lot of interest sometime the giver (of the pickles or whatnot) will create an online wheel to fairly choose a winner.

I had a basset named Ralph when I was growing up and then I married a guy who had a basset named Buster when he was growing up. Married 34 years and still haven't gotten a basset, maybe because we already experienced perfection.
