I work with young adults experiencing homelessness and witness this every day — they don’t have the bandwidth for anything else if they’re hungry or tired, and with SNAP benefits paused, the situation is even more dire.

I’ve always had a hard time comprehending how the Rwandan genocide could happen (neighbors killing neighbors, etc.). I hate that I can see it more clearly now.

My kids always want them so we always buy a bucket we never finish. I turn them into ice cream cookie sandwiches. Slap a dollop of ice cream between two cookies, wrap in plastic wrap, and freeze. That’s the only way we eat the ones we bring home.

This book deeply resonated with me - both as a mother and as an American who loves my country but dislikes the machinations of power that keep us from realizing the true potential of a just and equitable shared American dream. I appreciated your honesty, your empathy, AND the rich history lessons!

I have the same question. Also - if they heard gunshots inside the home *after* being fired upon, why did they not go into the house (especially knowing who lived at the residence and what had already transpired)?

They both represent heavy Dem districts so their seats are considered safe. MN leg is also done for the year…

A buffoon who claimed bankruptcy six times, doesn’t pay his bills, in obvious mental decline with dozens of felonies isn’t the man to manage the largest economy on the planet.
But some of us already knew that.
