Ok, so maybe I made one more gluten-free seasonal delight ... millionaire's shortbread; shortbread, lightly salted caramel, chocolate. Cut into small squares because they are that rich.

Last of my Christmas baking, gluten-free cranberry pecan tarts. Used Kinnickinnics tart shells because making gluten-free tart shells is too big of a pain in the neck.

I thought, that must be wrong, only being able to book next year's vaccines until Dec. 15 this year? But went in the Alberta Govt website and yup, their own banner says can only book 2026/27 from Sept. 29 to Dec. 15 of this year. The Alberta govenment is really trying to get us all sick.

At WayneFeat they always had a deep fried steak dinner 1 night, the inspiration for the 2004 name. Always remember that back then in Wayne you had to stand in a crossroad to get cell service. One of the many small eccentric things that made it a lot of fun.

WayneFest was held in Sept in Wayne Alberta from 2002 - 2007. Only 500 tickets were sold, as the venue was small. It was supposed to only be for 1 year, but was such a success it ran to 2007, when the organizers said enough. I knew about it as I was heavily into volunteering for CKUA after the time.

Seen on a recent walk. Not sure what the plant is, but was about 4 inches across, so not a dandelion.

First bloom from the plant I rescued from a big local retailer.

Forget the exact year (somewhere in the '80s) I got to see him live. One of my best memories. Still have the poster.

Today at the market my favourite place gave me a bag. Will use it with pride.

Last year I decided to not only try to grow a rhubarb plant on my balcony but to overwinter it, this is the plant as of April 13 I think it worked.

This is Ben G who died 2 days ago. He was my sister's emotional support cat and buddy to all. He saw her through the deaths, during COVID restrictions, of both her son and husband. Our furry family members are so important. I really get why you fought so hard for Boo Boo.

Snowing today which got me feeling Christmasy early, so I made cookies and put up my Christmas stick. Have you put up your Christmas stick yet?😋
