Two pictures of me, over 40 years apart, at a building I've loved forever and have been lucky enough to work in.
It's had a huge refurbishment, it feels the same, but also brand new and I can't wait to move back in on Monday.
Me, this afternoon, on a staircase that didn't exist the last time I was here. It's been cut in between floors, with sky lights being cut into the roof. Bringing loads of natural light in to both floors. If you don't know me, I have blonde, messy, shoulder length hair. I wear black, large framed glasses. In this image I'm wearing a white t-shirt under a grey waistcoat. I also have a rainbow coloured lanyard around my neck. I'm not exactly smiling, as the staircase is very functional looking, and the original design was much cooler. A picture of me, aged around 12. I'm standing outside the building I now work in . Halifax Building Society is on block letters above my head. I'm wearing a black and white checked shirt dress, with a cream coloured aran cardigan. I'm also wearing white daisy shoes (I wanted black) and carrying a grey coat, which I hated, that trails on the floor. I'm smiling in this one, probably because I didnt have bills to pay.

Oh my goodness! Our small (but perfectly formed) bunch of volunteers at Calderdale Pride have been shortlisted as finalists in the Yorkshire Post Tourism Award for Event of the Year! We're thrilled!

I'm sat holding a beer bottle around the neck, my nails are painted in the rainbow flag stripes as well as a bi pride flag and a trans flag. Arrived at Latitude yesterday, ground was muddy but clearing up now.
A view from inside a tent at Latitude, the oval door perfectly frames my husband. He's sat in a very comfortable camp chair, wearing dark shorts, walking shoes, a grey hood and the brightest, floweriest bucket hat. I'm inside the tent because its drizzly, but he's at a festival.

Top tier day drinking in the Lake District yesterday.
Six different bottles of very nice wine, a champagne, a rose, two whites and two reds. Sit on a wooden table with a starburst design. In the background you can just see the sommelier backed by racks and racks of wine.

I've had worse Saturdays.

Cruffins from Pollen Bakery in Manchester. When people ask me why I stay over in the city when I go to evening games. This is why.
A cruffin from Pollen Bakery Manchester is cut in half on a white plate. The cruffin has pretzels and nuts on top and cream all the way through the middle. It was bloody delicious! A different view of the cruffin which has been cut in half, I can't tell you how good this tasted. Just highly recommend getting to Pollen Bakery in Manchester and trying it yourself.

I find myself in London, I seem to gravitate towards Italian food. Not pictured, the affogato I had to end my meal, mainly because it didn't last long enough for photos.

As a perimenopausal woman, this would seem foolish, but I have my own personal wind machine around my neck to keep me comfortable. A plate of charcuterie next to the aforementioned focaccia, there's a glass of water and the stem of a wine glass also in shot. Just to the side is a corner of an ereader, showing I'm dining alone - very happily I might add. Dish of the night for me, brown crab cacio e pepe. Delicious!

The very best thing about Sundays
A Sunday roast. Contains crispy roast potatoes, a large Yorkshire pudding and thinly sliced roast beef. There is broccoli and a fab cauliflower cheese. A port and red wine sauce and horseradish cream completes the food. The plate is white and sits on a wooden table, with a grey and white table runner.

Lupo here wondering if he'll ever see grass again.

The perimeter of the field is marked by a long hedge, and behind that are houses made from Yorkshire stone. The sun is just rising, and casting a warm light on the houses (it's not warm!).
