Thinking today about the allegorical figure Marianne - the symbol of liberty, equality and fraternity. It is Marianne who served as the image for France’s beloved gift to the United States: the Statue of Liberty. May we never lose sight of who and what those values call us to be.

The wellbeing of the world always includes how well I am taking care of the freedoms of other people.

Many are feeling helpless and saying their voice is too small to make a difference. That is exactly how they want you to feel. Many are thinking things really aren’t that bad. That is what they want you to think. Helplessness and apathy are the great enablers they are counting on.

Resist.

Imagine someone believing too much love is what’s wrong with the world. And yet here we are.

Women would do well to educate themselves about the implications of the SAVE Act on their right to vote, especially if they changed their name when they got married. Do the research and get the documentation to protect yourself. Here’s one online resource.
