Gotta wonder what some in the administration who observe Holy Week think of Maundy Thursday texts and foot washing. Do you think they can tell you what the mandate/commandment is? That’s what I’d ask in the press room.

Jesus was very specific in the parable when answering “who is my neighbor”. He criticized the religious leaders who did nothing to help the injured man. The one who acted as a neighbor was in fact someone from another land, an enemy who had nothing to gain from helping the man.

On this MLk Day, I had breakfast at a cafe owned by immigrants, picked up trash in my neighborhood, did some work for Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and now working on my other volunteer gig for The Oregon Chapter of The Reading League. Is there anything else going on today?
