Solidarity!! We got to drive through the Clackamas protest and wave and honk, and that helped 🧡

Then I watched story after story from friends and strangers and I felt so encouraged!

Ok, hear me out. A Lord of the Rings re-make, but with these two taking the One Ring to Mordor:

I do 99% of my digital work without a mouse.

And I’m also feeling the urge to host a *real* mouse as a desk pet. (Desk companion?)

I’ve listen (and re-listened) to Last Call so the Hotel Imperial so many times…

First at @sarahkendzior.bsky.social and @andreachalupa.bsky.social’s recommendation, then again for strange solace during all this history repeating itself.

Taking a break from Earth for a moment. Check this moonstone purple Venus.

Organizing my studio this afternoon and reveling in my jackpot online used book store score: a Brian Doyle autographed copy of The Grail. (It wasn’t advertised as such, it just showed up this way!)

Then I tore off the top sheet of my notepad and found a stealthy love note like a buried jewel. 💜

Just home from OMSI’s Exquisite Creatures exhibit by Oregon’s own Christopher Marley

Feeling flashbacks to early March 2020 (last time this collection was on display).

Feeling agony over the state of things…and comfort in the world of nature & creation.

Favorite, favorite front yard plants under this morning’s layer of frost.

Garrya (those stunner tassels 😍)
Adiantum (the most delicate, tough little fern)
Sarcococca (nearly ready with winter fragrance)✨

I’m grateful to anybody standing up to these bullies. (Where are the rest of the churches?)

Beyond alarming. Again, my husband is a fed and the stories coming out today are grotesque abuses of power and disregard for government systems and norms.

(No surprise; I know the chaos agents relish the idea-becoming-reality of burning it down. But knowing doesn’t stop it feeling like assault.)

Kudos to thoughtful students looking at the land in layers of story/dignity/(in)equity.

Putting on my big girl socks* for a day of small business taxes, admin, coordination, communication, etc., etc.

🤍🤍🤍 @davidgate.bsky.social

I love that I received #3. A little early February 3 birthday gift I bought myself ☺️ (While sending $$$ to the poets of the world instead of the billionaires…)

Thank YOU so much, David!

I’d seeking thoughtful art, nature, and poetry accounts to add to my feed.

Yesterday I stood so long in one frozen spot admiring the birds and the low sun and winter clouds that I left two perfect footprints along my studio cow path.

I need to be able to do that looking at the digital blue sky.
