Today in novelist vs department chair: my building has a creepy secret staircase and my novel has a creepy secret cellar. We stashed a copy of FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC at the top of the secret stair to creep out students who accidentally discover it. But my novel only has a copy of my novel in it.
