it used to be that shia muslims in lebanon were noncommittal towards israel and some even welcomed their presence because of PLO activities besetting them in the south, but israel’s occupation was so tyrannical and bloodthirsty that shias became perhaps the most anti-israel bloc in lebanon

lebanese and syrian druze, including in the occupied golan heights, are strongly opposed to israel, as are lebanese christians. lebanese politics is extremely divided by religion and ethnicity but everyone there can pretty much agree on hating israel with the passion of a thousand suns
