First of all, this doesn't just affect trans youth. It affects all trans people in this community. Second of all, Northwestern is just at fault as Trump. I am truly disgusted by Illinois first LGBTQ State Senator.

This has never been legal to do to a cop car. I don't like that ICE are legally federal police - but they are they are federal officers you can't do this to a Chicago police car let alone a federal officer.

Laura, this is not protected by the First Amendment. Are you saying that it would be OK for me to pound on the hood of an Evanston police cruiser and stand in the way? ICE sucks, but this is not protected speech.

She's also charged with conspiracy for inviting other people to go down there it would seem. These are actually very serious charges.

And this is clearly the crime that they are charging her and the four other people, including Andre Martin for. This was a real dumb thing to do and doubling down on it publicly after being indicted? Real smart.

Does this look like the type of protest that people typically have? You have to be a real person of privilege to think that doing something like this won't get you in trouble. I've protested a lot in my life. There are things you can do. There are things you can get away with this isn't one of them.

I've gotten the minimum and now I build my overage to make sure I have enough after any struck signatures! I did this all myself. I collected every one of these signatures meeting voters!
