If you are choosing between woven and embroidered as the type of badge to order, one key consideration is the text on your badge.

Embroidery may require smaller lettering to be enlarged or changed to a blocky font.

If you need your lettering small and true to the original font, then choose woven.
Graphic showing the difference in font rendering possible with embroidered versus woven badges. Woven allows for finer detail at smaller sizes, so complicated fonts are possible at smaller sizes than can be achieved with embroidery.

Hmm, to epoxy or not to epoxy my soft enamel badge, that is the question!

Without the epoxy: a tactile badge with raised metal lines and colour at a lower level. Feels nice to the touch.

With the epoxy: a smooth surface finish with protection for the enamel. Feels very polished.

Two soft enamel badges are pictured with details of them picked out and magnified. The left side badge has no epoxy coating applied while the right side badge does have the coating. Without the coating you can see the ridges of metal and the enamel recessed at a lower level. With the coating the surface is smooth and very slightly convex.
