Linguist here. If most people believe the word means thrifty, then the word now means thrifty. Unfortunately there’s been no one to maintain the “official” meaning of words since the death of Malcolm Muggeridge.

What about when it signed the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact? That pact, their joint invasion of Poland was the direct cause of WWII. From 1939-1941 the USSR was an ally of Nazi Germany.

I know UCMJ prohibits following an illegal order, but what could happen to those on the delivery end of this? Targetting civilians is always the prima facie example of an unequivocal illegal order. But that’s exactly what’s happening here.

I’d never suggest that ACA was perfect,even in its original form,but please recall that Republicans amended the hell out of it,then refused to vote for its final form.Truly fixing healthcare will also entail fixing lobbyists, Citizen’s United,special interests-until then we’re stuck with 1/2 assed.
