But Facebook is one of the easiest social media to hack. And I know many people in several countries that have been attacked. I wouldn't have Facebook on any device that has information you don't want spread.

We use a VPN in Mexico. We have the same rules as Europe does anyway. We must give permission for any data that gets sent site by site. But I use a VPN anyway. It is just safer. And when I was in the USA, I used Tor and a Tor browser.

I just did this. You would not believe who was feeding these creeps information about me....banks, doctors, retail outlets... unbelievable. I just hope it's really purged from their system. I just don't trust anything META.

This year, one of our goals is to get away from all meta products. In our area Facebook is used by local businesses for free advertising. We will limit its use to looking up businesses. We are going to use a news aggregator, Bluesky for social and look for an alternative to instagram and whatsapp.

I saw how they were treated by Louisiana residents as they worked after Katrina....abominable. people yelled slurs as they worked and wore shirts with no Mexicans signs on them. Just horrible treatment.

I had to do this because of safety concerns with Facebook. my old phone is for banking, shopping, sensitive information and use another for social media. My business contacts are kept on the separate phone as well. I know so many people that have been hacked through answering a Facebook post.

On Facebook, they are cutting off the ability to comment if you block fascist commentors en mass. It's one of the reasons I'm here. I don't want forced fascist fantasies in my feed.

The Bush Reich should have proven that they'll just come up with another puppet that is worse. I don't buy for a single minute that republicans will stand up for what is right after Cheetolini is gone. Every admin since Tricky Dick has been more and more fascist.

Hoping for all of you it happens. But I won't make it to see that. I got maybe 15 years, 20 at the most if I really get lucky. I didn't want to die in a fascist stronghold. I want to enjoy some of my life not working 18 hours a day. And I knew that would NEVER happen in the USA.

Just saw a post from a woman who was actually flabbergasted that the president of Mexico referred to the USA as an imperialistic nation. She had no idea why. No, the world doesn't like being invaded by imperialists to have their democratically elected governments overthrown jajaja

Me too. Fortunately don't have to live in the USA and I'm so embarrassed by it that I always say Canada when people ask where I'm from. I left in early 2017. Still saying it
