Yes because the richer you are the more you benefit from the US government. Imagine if the US were taken over by a communist country, who be hurt more, the man on the street or the very rich?

I agree. (But a way out of iron cage)I think we are on the cusp of replacing much of our personal social structure with technology- robotics instead of slaves/workers, 1 person + virtual families, and decreasing population. Ice crystal on top of ice berg.

Congress can solve $ problem by taxing the top 1/10 of 1% according to benefits they receive. Entire legal and tax system is structured to protect elites.

Tariffs are important but I believe it’s more important for representatives to figure out a tax system that forces the richest to pay a tax that covers more of the maintenance costs of our country.
