Happy behind the lens
Had an informative visit to Kilmainham Prison today. All the staff we met were very helpful and Harry who was our Guide delivered the story of the political prisoners with passion, clarity and humour. A worthwhile use of time in Dublin. #kilmainhamGaol #prison #dublin #Ireland

A clear picture without the distraction of UK muddled news commentary and what passes for balance these days. Oxford Professor Avi Shlaim, an Arab Jew, lays out the Palestinian story with a clear account of the history behind this ongoing horror. #avishlaim #palestine @irishpages.bsky.social

Boxing Day vibes at Felixstowe. Cold Easterly did not deter anyone from making it a very busy promenade. #suffolk #photography #nikon

@ottoenglish.bsky.social filling in some of the inconvenient gaps in popular historical narratives makes a very entertaining and informative read. An interesting overlap with @davidmcwecon.bsky.social book Money in the fascinating and compelling story of Roger Casement. #booksky #greatreads

Had the pleasure of photographing the incredible Ghost of King Raedwald puppet created by #charlietymms at Sutton Hoo for the performance of Hamlet by ‪@redrosechain.bsky.social‬ which opened tonight!

Apparently Labour confounds expectations. BBC must have thought Scottish voters would be taken in by BBC Reform daily coverage.

Thank you @nafeez.bsky.social for making the political noise make sense. I didn’t think I could despise the Tory party or Nigel garage any more than I did but reading this has made my skin crawl.

This is an informative read and a warning of the need to change to a written constitution as we're currently open to abuse if another populist gets into power.

Not as radical as you'd imagine. This book clearly describes a need for rebalancing our democracy through a written constitution, safeguarding against future populist tyranny. Is now the time while we have a pragmatist at the helm?
Yes I know he’s a Sir. #booksky @graham-smith.bsky.social

I put this on twitter in March 2023 and given the current political climate it again seems appropriate.
