🎉 Today we celebrate our founder and namesake, Ernest Orlando Lawrence, born Aug. 8, 1901, and the revolution in accelerator technologies and discoveries he launched with the invention of the #cyclotron. Happy birthday, Ernest! 🎂🧪

🐍 Just your typical afternoon at the Lab—until a rattlesnake decides to do an onsite bike inspection 🧐😳! The employee did the right thing: backed off, called Site Ops, and waited it out. When in doubt, give snakes space—they usually move on. #LifeAtBerkeleyLab
