In the northern county of Troms, lefser are made with wheat flour, the best filling is a mix of butter, sugar, cinnamon and grated brown cheese. Perfect with a cup of coffee after Christmas dinner!

The ones made with potatoes are called lumpe in Norway, and are usually served wrapped around a frankfurter together with crispy fried onions and shrimp salad (pølse i lumpe). A true classic. It's also served with lutefisk ( an acquired taste) or rakfisk (even more so).

In Norwegian: "Som skjorta og ræva". Meaning "like the shirt and the ass". Describes two friends that very close and always together.

Bull-Hansen? Leste fantasy-serien hans om Horngudens tale for lenge siden. Traff han i en annen sammenheng noen år senere, ble overraska av at han privat hadde mange av de arkaiske macho-holdningene som gjennomsyrer bøkene, rett nok passende for en brutal fantasysetting.

Norwegian: Spøkefugl (Joking bird). Another one: moroklump (Ball of fun). And in Northern Norwegian dialect: Tullsjur (Silly magpie, about females. The male equivalent to tullsjur is a bit more rude so I won't mention it here)
