Today is the third year mark of the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I photographed the Boyko family who fled their country in 2022 and settled in Amsterdam, for a piece by Madelief van Dongen in Dutch newspaper Het Parool:

Some photos I took in 2024, intuitively. Working as a photographer for newspapers mainly, it can get tricky to keep the motivation and energy alive to photograph in my spare time as well. This year I intend to take more alone time off with my camera - just to keep the creativity flowing

I’ve really enjoyed exploring sports photography the past year. It’s so difficult it’s really pushing me on a technical level.

And then seeing the team at De Volkskrant create this beeeeautiful lay-out with the images and videos is such a treat
