❤️❤️❤️ bass solo in the 3rd movement. Minimal vibrato set the whole movement so well. My favorite moment of the night.
Mäkelä added a trombone and a trumpet to the last horn section standing. It was refreshing but was not a big fan of the color. It was a big big sound though!

Loved the physical glares and gestures in the section during the performance, notably in clarinet section 😉
Wondering why bassoons are on the right side of clarinets even celli and basses were on the conductors right, i.e they where on different side of the stage. Maybe it is their tradition

2nd half: the world
It was certainly poised, humble, passionate, earth-shaking performance. Some interesting things I saw..

First half: transfigured

Apparently they are making an European entrance..

It is 8:03pm and there are only 2 bass players on stage. Why advertise that the concert is at 8?
