This weekend, I got some gardening done. My back yard got torn up after installing a new septic system. Got grass reseeded, and a flowerbed full of natives. Gonna expand my driveway too. Got a lot of other projects in the works. Hoping to get back into a normal groove soon.

Thats a bear trap right there. Sometimes she wants tummy rubs, sometimes its a trap. You can tell by the extra cute eyes that are actually murder eyes.

Been busy, this past Saturday was the Southern Maryland Celtic festival where we got a good turn out of late antique reenactors. Despite the rain, the crowds were enough to keep me busy with various talks and demos all day.

Sorry I haven't posted in ages y'all, I've been busy. I've made a new belt for my late antique kit, that's far more accurate than my old one and just pretty, new campagi shoes fit for a late antique aristocrat, and experimented with a shield construction technique to make cheap dished beater shields

A decision has been made regarding the king Arthur shield. Rather than a full motif of the virgin Mary across the shield, I opted for incorporating her into an established design. This way, the sins of my bad paint job can be hidden #KingArthur #LateAntiquity #LateRoman #Reenactment

I have a shield to be painted and I want to paint the Virgin Mary on for my King Arthur kit, but how should I go about that? Certainly using the Mauri Osismiaci shield pattern would be easier but I'm unsure

I've been busy the past couple weeks, between a couple of health issues of family, and going full production mode for living history kit, I haven't had much time for too much content. I got some shield cores that I'll paint, one for my Artorius Rex kit I'm working on.
