On top of Mount Nyiragongo in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This lava lake is a whopper - the largest in the world at up to 700 meters in width. Watching it bubbling away was quite a sight. Even better with a bottle of single malt, homemade chilli, and a good friend! #photography #volcano

At a lunch spot in Costa Rica and just before I took this photo a hummingbird flew through the window. I moved to pick it up to help it escape, fully expecting the bird to fly away instantly. Surprisingly it allowed me to pick it up. Then it posed for me. Good hummingbird! #photography

I was sent to photograph the band (The Futureheads) but I was more interested in this beautiful London venue, the Union Chapel. A 19th Century gothic church, it hosts c.250 live events per year and operates as a drop in centre for the homeless of Islington. #photography

Apparently the dot above an i or a j is called a tittle.
You could say, "Hold on, I've just got to titillate this sentence". Sadly, the origin of titillate has nothing to do with the little tittle. But I'm ignoring that. People write less by hand now, so titillating is past its heyday.

One from the photo pit. Here's Lenny Kravitz at the London Brixton Academy. I like to generally totally freeze my photographs at concerts as movement comes through via the nature of the performances. But in this one everything looks strangely still.
