Troubling to say the least. Pretty gross how Apple and Google are facilitating this while blocking the tools to help people stand up to authoritarianism and fascism.

Made me think of this recent story from Venezuela where the president says he thinks US spies can't break into Huawei phones.
Could be as simple as protectionism around local companies. Could be sincere concerns about backdoors for China. What evidence?
