History isn’t supposed to be comfortable. It’s supposed to be honest. We don’t learn from a past we pretend didn’t happen. Rewriting our history doesn’t protect us. It makes us weaker. And more likely to repeat the very mistakes they don’t want us to remember.

This feels like it should be a violation of the rules around reconciliation, I thought it could only apply to the budget
