Rental Family screening featured a special Oscar-winning guest introducing the movie. He was fantastic both on and off screen.

Sooo does Trump want to be Mamdani’s bro? This is not how I expected the real-life Murdock vs. Fisk confrontation to play out.

Yes… if you are a Nazi, neo-Nazi or Confederate sympathizer.

Scratch that under “Things to undo on December 20, 2029.”
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

The Mighty Nein rocks. And luckily I saw the wedding episode in theaters so I mostly know how this story ends!

I’m not sure people can critique The Running Man as “another remake” when the 80s film only used the bare bones of its source material. There was satire, but more cheese than grittiness.

Not sure if Arco will get the same attention from animation fans as KPop Demon Hunters. But it's still a beautiful, if not familiar, story about friendship, hope, and the looming perils of climate change on our world. Read my review here.

Arco and Iris in Arco (Neon) Given how there’s no shortage of terrible news these days, it begs the question of what time travelers would do if they came to our era. Perhaps they’d have some commen...

Between Prey, Killer of Killers and now Badlands, I don’t think I’ve seen a franchise spring back to prominence out of nowhere like Predator. But man am I glad it did so.

So those Epstein emails look like… a lot. Good luck defending that Trumpists.

Wait until the turtles try out some Jersey pizza. My thoughts on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles short coming this December to theaters.

Top 15 movies of 2025 so far. Still a month and a half to go so who knows - the order might still change.

She does.

I always thought she had to have something on Trump to have as much influence as she has but after reading this it just seems that she's the kind of crazy he can relate to.
This valuable @newyorker.com profile of Laura Loomer is a good example of why a certain kind of access journalism can be useful. Also? I hate rhetoric that dismisses fascist figures as "crazy." Mental illness is serious. But Loomer definitely seems genuinely unwell. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

It’s always funny that centrist is used as a slur. But most people also hate that moderates exist and win elections, yet struggle to defeat them when given an opportunity.

And, for the record, that's both a good thing AND the inevitable conclusion to this decade-long power struggle. The big complaint was always how Dem leadership is still in charge and people REALLY want some younger folks who don't do compromises to take the reins.
I see a lot of folks saying this will hurt Dems in the midterms and frankly I’m not sure that’s true - if anything, it shows the depth to which people are angry and engaged and wanting to fight these assholes

but it does substantially increase the chance they will be voting for different Democrats

I still intend for us to win it all in 2026. With luck, it’ll be a good 250th birthday present.

Sometimes it’s like the Supreme Court is trying to make us all hate them. Idk why, but they like doing it.

Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein might be the first adaptation I’ve seen that specifically adapts Mary Shelly’s novel. Not borrow anything from the Universal iteration. Has there been any other Frankenstein movie that’s pulled that off?
