Looks like it's related to borderless/non-exclusive fullscreen shenanigans: github.com/godotengine/...

As far as I can tell, it's there to prevent the OS from automatically upgrading the window to exclusive fullscreen.
Enabling fullscreen via code shows window border at screen edges (DisplayServer regression) · Issue #63500 · godotengine/godot
Bugsquad note: This issue has been confirmed several times already. No need to confirm it further. Godot version 4.0.dev (835da44) System information Windows 10, Vulkan Clustered, 3 monitor setup I...

It's hard to enjoy retirement as a wizard, what with the fools constantly seeking you out in search of wisdom/power/revenge. Better to simply vanish without a trace, never to be seen again. You get bothered less that way.

Welp, so much for that theory 😐

I still wonder if there could be some difference in the display technology... or maybe it's just because our phones take up less of our FOV?

The other is that it has to do with how the display is refreshed; LCD screens will tend to strobe their backlight at the refresh rate of the display, whereas IIRC OLED displays often have an pixel refresh rate that is several times the display's nominal refresh rate

I've got a couple theories... one is just that the lack of backlight makes for crisper, deeper blacks that are easier on the eyes

Does your phone have an OLED display? I'm similar in that normal screens make me nauseous when I have a migraine while my phone isn't nearly as bad, and I think it's partly due to my phone's OLED screen being easier on my eyes than a typical LCD screen.
