It’s not a question of easy, but of expense. All Trump wants is to do is funnel tax payer funded development money to his pals, as well as reward them with a hoard of oil reserves. The fact that it will likely never pay off for us is not his concern.

Nothing on Jack Smith’s testimony in today’s paper? Just evergreen filler like this? Oh well, maybe we’ll get some actual reporting after the holidays. But I’m not holding my breath.

Passive voice really working hard there
December 29, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Just because Trump thinks he is something doesn’t mean we have to play along. In fact, given his tendencies, we’re obligated to push back, and it is always disappointing when those best in a position to do shirk their responsibility.

WaPo shamelessly flacking for Vance. Gross.

“Efforts to defend the strength of the economy”? Surely you must be joking

“Nothing new”, is that all? It’s staggering how far the Post has apparently fallen.

Dems are Disappointing

So in other words he’s going to be at the front of the line with his hand out when Trump dispenses taxpayer funded tariff relief
October 26, 2025 at 3:07 PM
True story or not, it’s yet another sign the top income tax bracket is way too low.
October 23, 2025 at 8:55 PM
Well, the best of you anyway. Sadly too many seem willing to do anything for that sweet, sweet access
October 20, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Oh they have a plan (flood the market with junk health insurance with sky-high deductibles and 100% denial rates), they just need time to wreck the current system first
October 9, 2025 at 9:00 PM
Well there’s only one way to find out
September 30, 2025 at 10:39 PM
It would be better if they also raised questions about the state of Trump’s mental fitness, but sure.

I’m sure you wish, WaPo, I’m sure you wish

Anything to curry favor with the Administration flunkies they are trying to pal around with, no doubt
September 21, 2025 at 3:43 PM
What I find infuriating is there are plenty of Democrats harmed by Trump, but they rarely get in-depth coverage like this - the subtext is only MAGA voices count - only harm to MAGA voters is noteworthy

I was lucky enough to get a job at an employee-owned company while it was still relatively small. What an amazingly rewarding and profitable experience. I wholeheartedly endorse your proposal.

I say this as a person who wants to change people’s minds about trans kids participating in sports rather than giving in on the issue: please stop with the purity tests. Personally satisfying as they may be, there are less destructive options for influencing our political discourse
August 7, 2025 at 1:15 PM
The worst credulous stenography. At the very least WaPo could have mentioned Todd Blanche was Trump’s personal lawyer at his 2024 criminal trial. Worthless, even harmful reporting.
July 24, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Tariffs are a regressive tax on consumers. Why would any sane government recklessly impose them on their citizens? EU folks are going to boycott US products and services anyway. I’m guessing we will see a muted response to Trump shooting his economy in the foot (if he doesn’t chicken out first)

If you are really sick of it, name names. You’ll be doing them a favor.
