The wonderful invention of the catalytic converter.

If you’re ever curious what it was like before those were a thing, note the smell the next time you’re around a running classic car. Then try to imagine what a highway full of that would smell and look like.

Its contractual. Fed unions are barred from striking.
November 10, 2025 at 2:37 AM
They can’t strike. They aren’t allowed to.

Why a union would agree to that to begin with is hilarious on its face.
November 10, 2025 at 2:35 AM
You’re a feckless loser.
November 10, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Democrats could fuck up a wet dream.
November 10, 2025 at 12:24 AM
Plethora.

I hope you’re happy. It means a lot.

Wait until you hear why he had to be dismissed.

ack when McConnell stonewalled all of Obama’s judicial appointees the D burned it. The Rs followed that up with SCOTUS nominees and others.

The legislative filibuster is a much bigger ballgame.
October 3, 2025 at 9:28 PM
The one for judicial nominees has been kaput since Obama was in office.

Greenblatt is hilarious.

You don’t?

There’s a reason confession ends with “go forth and sin no more.”
July 19, 2025 at 8:49 PM
He’s not beyond salvation. In a bad place, definitely, but not beyond salvation.

It’s a hard circle to square, I know.

One of the hardest things to wrap your head around is that Jesus didn’t die for the righteous. He died for the flawed. The thieves. The whores. The rapists. The murderers.

He died for idea that no one is incapable of being forgiven of their sin. We all fail. This is often lost on many Christians.
July 19, 2025 at 4:17 AM
You’re not “damned to Hell” just by being in bad standing with the church and being refused absolution. It’s an important bellwether for the state of your soul, but not the be all end all.

If you confess under false pretenses that’s a big no no. God would know, even if you manage to fool a priest
July 19, 2025 at 4:03 AM
Also *or not,* because I’m not above typos
July 18, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Yeah that pretty much affirms exactly what I said. A Catholic priest can “encourage” a penitent to confess to secular authorities but they can’t make it a requirement to receive absolution. They can only make the call on whether to grant absolution of not.
July 18, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Episcopalians generally value the sacramental seal about like the Catholics do, but they can be a bit “squishier” on the matter of inviolability.

Which invalidates the sacrament altogether. One wonders why they would pay lip service. People generally don’t confess their sins without the seal.
July 18, 2025 at 10:19 PM
He can deny absolution if he believes the confession isn’t sincere, but he can’t make confession to the authorities a requirement on the matter. You’re there to get right with God and what you discuss with the priest is between you and God. The state’s interests are immaterial.
July 18, 2025 at 10:01 PM
I’m not even Catholic (though I am married to one, and she teaches catechism) and I can tell you right now that is not doctrinal with regard to canon law.

The priest can encourage you to do the right thing but he can not make temporal punishment a condition of receiving absolution.

There’s a reason pickled pig’s feet and pickled eggs are common bar foods lol.
July 18, 2025 at 8:27 PM
We need more democrats like you instead of the absurd fecklessness we’re getting now.

Thank you.
