That enables them over time to charge more and more in fees. That means that artists, especially artists with less leverage, earn less and less of the ticket price paid by music fans. And yet artists will still be blamed for increasing ticket prices.

Ticketmaster and the resellers don’t want to be required to provide the breakdown of fees, or else want to delay it until after you enter your credit card info, or hide it behind a toggle button. They want to be able to make it harder to see just how much of your purchase price consists of fees.
