My first advice to junior contributors is to STOP using vibe coding for PRs. OSS is always about people more than about code. We don't need more code generated by LLM, we need more people who care.

Congrats on shipping 🥂

Looks like a great tool you’ve built there

Who said I was offended? I was pointing out that Bsky leadership made a very poor decision, which made me question their viability as a platform that can be “nice”.

Being critical of something doesn’t mean I’m bent out of shape, it means I’m disappointed. Why shouldn’t we expect better?

Look, I don’t think you are in the position to say what people should or shouldn’t get offended by.

In case you weren’t aware, 28k people signed a petition calling for bsky to uphold their own community guidelines on an abusive user. The ceo instead mocked them.

And, how can your platform discourage people who intentionally post bad faith content in the first place? Wouldn’t that be nicer? just curb their virility entirely.

I get it’s hard and requires some courage, but isn’t it worth getting weird and trying something different?

Harm reduction works.

How do you reconcile that Bluesky should be a nicer place while the ceo was intentionally trolling people with the infamous “waffles” post a month or two ago?

That didn’t feel nice at all, and felt just like another group of tech people who say they get it, but constantly show that they do not.

Rental agents and landlords really need to get on the level of understanding that leasing a property should be a straight up business relationship with no strings attached.

Maintain the property, so it’s fit for purpose, and no double dipping.

No kidding! Tiny men don’t like to be challenged to grow by staff.

They’re not emotionally intelligent enough to accept any form of feedback, especially from a “subordinate”.

Renters need to stop disclosing if they have pets. Imagine if they had to disclose they had children! It’s an unacceptable ask.

(And, kids are quite good at putting their fingers through fly screens, drawing on walls, dropping things etc. likely far worse than most pets).

I'd find it super frustrating if every label, button or interactive element has the potential to become a nonsensical task blocking rabbit hole.

IMO it is worse than no effort at all, because it shows an apathetic disregard for the people it’s designed to help.

we semi-regularly make a broccolini melt with romesco and it slaps. nothing quite like a well executed sanga

Yep, I was using screenflow for years too. I miss some of its ability, but screen studio is a lot less fiddly… haven’t found anything better
