I think you're hitting on a key theme. Prevention, access, and education. Where it's better, asthma will be better, where it's worse asthma will be worse. Hard to know whose constellation of adjuncts are better when these factors aren't controlled for.

Also have my own theories on why we have big practice differences and have a hunch that is related to how we define critical asthma. Hopefully this new definition is a starting place to help standardize our approaches nationally and internationally.

Michael thanks for the great comments and sharing your experience! One of the biggest take aways from this work is how much more work we have to do. We're looking to show how very different approaches can be with the CATCHUP study. We'll have an international arm with ANZICS sites too!

Thanks Guillaume! I'm bad at social media but trying to be better at this one. Hopefully this paper helps continue the discussion in our field about giving critical bronchiolitis the attention necessary to develop better treatment strategies. Agree with the PCCM suggestion too!
