Building consistency and common ways of thinking, doing, practicing the stuff we do every moment for all children. It’s a labour of love but working to improve our staff handbook to increase quality of presentation of processes and expectations. @jonhutchinson.bsky.social @olicav.bsky.social

We are structured in mixed-age year group teams - N/R, 1/2, 3/4 and 5/6. I want to help maximise the quality of post-3pm communication within teams to improve feedback across classes, making required adaptations for lessons (when sharing planning) etc. Time is precious. Suggestions welcome!

It’s that time - term starting imminently - when I’m grounding all of the thoughts, moments, ideas that have accumulated over the holidays. Exciting - equally a little overwhelming. Anyone else still early in headship looking forward to the next new start, restart and implementing lessons learnt?

Excited to be planning for the year ahead - refining our work in teams thanks to @samcrome.bsky.social Power of Teams. Lots of early work on team objectives and how they build from and into our improvement plan, defining expertise within teams and knowledge we need. Belonging and purpose are key!
