Here’s a clearer illustration: getting to net zero in a cost-effective way means solar dominates (if interconnection gets addressed, which she’s 100% correct on), nuclear is in the noise.

What Secretary Granholm omits here is the enormous impact on consumer power prices a nuclear resurgence would inevitably bring. Her Department’s own decarbonization analysis shows solar alone nearly matching all other zero-carbon tech (including nukes) on the grid:

It was an honor to represent SEIA at OMCO Solar’s new steel rail facility near Huntsville last night. This is the third(!) new steel manufacturing opening I’ve traveled to in six months. I think they call that American energy dominance.
