Congressman #MS02 | Avid Hunter l Kappa Alpha Psi 1967 👌🏽♦️
It's that time of year again: tailgate season! I enjoy when we come together as a community to support our teams as they represent us at home and abroad. Look out for me at the tailgate!

We’re winning in courts, marching in the streets, and standing united for our people. As VP Harris said, “Sometimes the fight takes a while; that doesn’t mean we won’t win.” Keep the faith, protect our communities, and stay watchful for truth over misinformation and any attempt to divide us.

Thank you, Tyson, for helping us better serve our communities! We have had a great time at the Mississippi Policy Conference in Tunica, MS so far.

Praying in the House, while preparing to vote away benefits for seniors, children, and the sick. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Our democracy suffers when lies are louder than laws!

153,910 people will lose care in Mississippi under this terrible bill, and they have the audacity to call it "Beautiful."

The hypocrisy is astonishing.

Be aware of your rights, everyone! Let’s keep getting involved in meaningful activism!

Trump refused to call in the National Guard when the Capitol was under siege on January 6.

But now, he’s deploying troops to L.A. to crack down on protests against immigration raids.

No National Guard for the attack on democracy yet a full show of force against people demanding justice.

Hypocrisy

I had a great weekend with my community, spreading the word, showing up, and pushing for change. I went to the State of the People Power Tour at Tougaloo and rolled down to Gulfport with Stacey Abrams to support Sonya Williams Barnes for Mayor. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Traveled to MS’s 4th District to speak the truth & stand with those struggling. Some may not like me stepping outside my district, but when leaders stay silent, someone has to step up. We’ll get through this together.

Joe, my brother and my friend

You’ve led with strength and heart through every storm. Now we stand with you. Praying for healing, peace, and continued courage. You are not alone.
With love and respect,

I'm just going to leave this here.

This weekend, I welcomed Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett to Mississippi. She is a true force in Congress. Her boldness, brilliance, and deep love for justice inspire us all. She’s more than a colleague; she’s like family. The future belongs to leaders like her.

The Trump administration’s attempt to remove exhibits from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture is a blatant attack on Black history. Erasing our past won’t change the truth. We will not be silenced. #PreserveBlackHistory

I’m pleased to announce my upcoming visit to MS04 with the Forrest County Democrats. We, as Democrats, recognize the importance of informing constituents nationwide about the harm caused by this administration.

It is truly an honor to welcome my dear colleague, the gentlewoman from Texas, to our beloved Eagle Queen Tougaloo College to deliver an incredible commencement address. She is undoubtedly one of the promising leaders in Congress, and I eagerly anticipate hearing her inspiring message.

Easter egg hunts hit different when eggs cost $6 a dozen. At this point, the only thing hiding better than the eggs is economic relief.

This is Anthony, one of the attendees at the second district art contest, but also an accomplished outdoorsman. I enjoyed our conversation and look forward to an opportunity to go into the woods with him.

This is the result of being unqualified.

I am often blown away by the artistry of those in MS02. This portrait, titled "Accountability" by Sabrina Howard, tells a profound story of our work on January 6.

Don’t be misled by misinformation. The Social Security Fairness Act was spearheaded by Democratic leadership, not Donald Trump. #GettingTheFactsStraightFromBennieThompson

The foundation of America was forged through Black labor, brilliance, and unwavering contributions. Without us, this nation’s history and progress would be nothing. #BlackHistory #BlackExcellence
