Mrs Stedperson was pleased Mr was able to call one of his touches of Stedman 5. Not many of us so we played with G5, St Simons & St Martins with RP improving his tenor behind. But the star was Duncan who rang all of the above, some for the first time and also had his first go at LB6 #bellringing

Only 7 of us physically able to ring this morning. And our 1st attempt at Stedman 5 wasn't fantastic. But we rattled through PH5, PH6, PB6, G7 another go at PH6 and then perfected the Stedman, phew #bellringing

They saved the best til last in my opinion. Chipping Barnet, a 22cwt, 8 with a sensible draft, that went nicely. Mr rang the tenor again here to G7, we both rang PH7 and I got another half course Cambs 8 #bellringing #ringingouting

Tower 5 was the 12cwt 8 of North Mimms, where the ropes were on layered steps. I rang 3 leads of KTB8 and rang the treble to Single Oxford. Not too bad #bellringing #ringingouting

Tower 4 was a bit daunting. The 10 of St Peter's in St Albans. I rang PH9, CC'S and Stedman 9 here. Mr also rang some LB10. Pic of him ringing the 24cwt tenor behind for some Stedman 9 #bellringing #ringingouting

Tower 2 is 13cwt, 6 of St Leonards, Flamstead. I didn't like these. The ropes were to rigid and long, making them go all over the place. I did some LB6, Mr did Stedman 5 and some CC'S #bellringing ##ringingouting

1st tower is 15cwt GF 8 of Harpenden. I rang G7 here, Mr also did some CC'S and trebled for some Cambs/LB8 spliced. Not too bad for a ground floor with a metal guide #bellringing #ringingouting

All 'green for go' tonight 🟩 Go PH6 to work on changing speed & counting places. Go PB6 for JM & DF. Go G5 for Duncan who rang all 3 inside bells tonight. We also did a Kaleidoscope exercise for JM to adjust speed and one of Mr's fun Stedman 5 touches so the experts had some fun #bellringing

Guild Committee meeting held at Kirtlington, where I rang LB8 with the Guild Master. Results of striking competition were very very pleasing as it was my first time being part of a 10 bell team. We came 3rd and being so close to 1st and 2nd was great #bellringing

Grateful to Sarah for driving us to the Guild 10 bell competition at Long Crendon this morning. We were 1st on and had to leave to get to other events later today, so I won't know the results until later. But I have to say I'd be very happy if I had to ring here every week. Lovely bells #bellringing

9 of us at this month's Surprise Minor Practice at Radley. I managed to get a course of Norwich & a course of Bourne completed although lots of learners in together with no stander-by, so it wasn't pretty. We finished with some spliced Bourne/Cambs, which I did ok at #bellringing

Ladies ringing 4, 5 & 6 for PB6 tonight as 2 chaps learning inside & 2 chaps learning treble. When 2 visitors came for 10 mins we got some R&CC & G7. We also rang PH7 & Norwich 6. Then the same ladies rang 4, 5, & 6 of the front 6 down. We need to brew some muscles 💪 for the back bells #bellringing

The last tower of our Plain Bob Doubles fest was Wootton which were a very loud 6 at 9cwt. Everyone has made progress with 2 much more confident and one being able to ring unaffected touches and one ringing affected touches. The helpers are a bit weary though 😳 #bellringing
