Performer, writer, educator, game designer and ginger on Wurundjeri Country (aka Melbourne, Australia). He/him.

I make the Pratchat book club podcast, time travel radio comedy Night Terrace, and other things.

Not the actor that wrote the book on crypto.
I really need to buy a new MacBook, but I have delayed because the model I have is one of the last intel ones that can’t run Apple Intelligence. When I do get one, the first thing I will be doing is turning all that shit off.

Clone is good, yeah. Some terms do retain meaning even without the original context; this might be one of them? Email still uses CC and BCC after all. But maybe the modern version is just “copy” (not even photocopy), it’s no longer novel to be able to make an exact copy.

This could be fun - Pteppic having a new adventure as an assassin who doesn’t actually kill anyone would work great!

That would be ScummVM, originally designed to run old LucasArts games made with the SCUMM engine, but now compatible with a broad range of old adventures.

(I played many of the King’s Quest games, but always more of a LucasArts fan.)

I have picked some that feel like they’re work together well - mostly around the use of items and their unique tokens, and refreshing and being flexible with energy. But I guess I won’t know for sure until I try out my full deck in play!

Well, the Prologue certainly isn’t perfect! It wasn’t clear how far to progress or what to do when one of us was about to collapse (my character is a real nerd, and not very fit). But the basics were all in place and we made mistakes without causing any long term problems!

Only played the prologue so far, but it was a fun way to learn the rules and build a character! Made some mistakes, but we have the hang of it now.

Loving it so far; the way cards react to tests really does make things feel alive.

Really looking forward to getting into the campaign!

You have so accurately captured the feelings so many of us old Vine tragics have about this! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this! I use his version of this in class all the time, but had no idea there was a video of his lecture. Perfectly explains the dimension of plot and structure beyond one thing leading to another.

Yeah, this is so dumb. Daniel Craig’s Bond has never been married, was at the start of his career as a 00 in Casino Royale. He met a completely different Blofeld to Connery and co. Even if you think Craig was a “reboot”, fine - do it again! Trek would make their head implode.

In the audience perhaps, but not on the channel! ;)

My feedback is it looks sick as hell and I am gonna force myself to finish marking all these assignments so I can play it as soon as possible!

Also, congratulations to both of you and to the whole team! It’s out there! You did it!

Totally understand! Just very keen to see what’s currently exciting and in vogue in this space. I’ve been out of it for many years and miss it quite a lot!

I won’t be there for reasons of extreme geographical distance, but I’d love to know what games you have lined up!

Fair. It’s effectively an adventure game, which is something I enjoy. Maybe I’ll give it another go, but with lower expectations.

Really I want to give fifth edition tabletop Vampire a go, even if the other new WoD games have left me cold. Hunger dice are a really smart design.
