My personal, less glamorous art theft story: I used to work at a small art museum in Terre Haute IN. One day at a nearby street fest, a very drunk person realized he was out of cash. He walked over to our museum, grabbed a small statue off a pedestal, and then tried to resell it at a nearby shop

An October sort of city even in spring. With somebody's washing always whipping, in smoky October colors off the third-floor rear by that same wind that drives the yellowing comic strips down all the gutters that lead away from home.
