I liked it, and also recommend the Tokyo Metro Museum at Kasai station. I bought a big Tokyo Metro wall map there.
(if you are open to general recommendations, the Edo-Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum is hard to beat for urbanism-inclined people)

Much more housing should be permitted in Halifax's South End specifically
Oh The Urbanity: "Show me a city with a legally protected mansion district near downtown and I'll show you a city that hasn't really taken the housing crisis seriously."

Vancouver Land Covenants Reveal Racist Past and Present - The Laurier Institution
Discriminatory covenants still exist in land titles across the U.S. and Canada. Why do these covenants still appear? How can they be removed?

In the old days (my high school/uni years), everyone lived on the peninsula. I can only think of one of those friends who still lives here today. Some rent in the suburbs, others bought homes in faraway rural areas.

The owner is an Airbnb operator, so I wonder if he is selling due to the new short-term rental rules. That would explain all the bunk beds. I used to live across the street (on Glebe) and daydreamed about how this place would probably be affordable if it ever went on the market. I was wrong!

Still looking for a place in Toronto, but if I can't find anything soon I might try again in the spring. I don't want to drive a U-Haul up there in the dead of winter if I can avoid it. 🥶

I feel like I should clarify that I mean to draw attention to Halifax's godawful rental market, not just crap on a modest house 😭

According to the ad, the rental offers "suburban breathing room" and "a quiet residential setting with easy highway and transit access". The house isn't connected to any sidewalk nor is there a way to reach the nearest bus stop without dashing across what is essentially a highway.

The terminal used to be next to the mall's eastern entrance (first pic). In 2004, a temporary terminal was built next to Highway 111 while the new terminal was built. The old one was demolished to make space for a new Winners store.
