Year three for me on the volleyball beat!

It has been an incredible experience working with this team so far, and I am excited for what this season has in store for me as a writer.

It's shaping up to be a very interesting season on the court as well; read here to find out why:

Ethan Conrad lit up MAAC pitching for two years before dominating at the highest levels of college baseball, resulting in the Cubs taking him 17th overall in the MLB Draft. Last week, I spoke to him about his road to becoming the first former Red Fox selected in the first round:

After putting up the seventh most kills in program history (in only three full seasons) van der Merwe transferred to FGCU, where she reached the NCAA Tournament. Now, she will join VA UNIZA Žilina, going overseas to continue her volleyball career in Slovakia.

Marist went 0-10 against a loaded non-conference schedule in 2024, only winning one set. I talked to Coach Byron about the philosophy behind this years schedule, and took a deeper look at some of their non-conference opponents. Be sure to give it a read!
