Would be very very expensive. Wouldn't be surprised if there's an inbuilt kill switch in the missiles which the US could use if they so desired.

The UK is totally reliant on the US for our nuclear deterrent. Yes, we build the subs and warheads but without the supply or maintenance of the missiles they're just very expensive underwater pleasure craft. We don't have the ability or money to build the missiles ourselves. It's worrying.

There surely must be a point where more organisations, the likes of Sky News, BBC, government etc decide that Twitter is too toxic and follow the Guardian and leave Twitter. It can't sit well that the owner is spouting support for right wing parties across Europe and wants another UK election.
