But still would like to give a shout-out to the Republican congressional majority for the shutdown-enabled flight delays that (in my case anyway) are now extending even to flights originating outside the U.S.

I’ve still got food to eat and I don’t rely on Social Security checks to pay the bills (yet), so relatively small potatoes to be sure.

Update from the captain: “delay will now be 3 hours and everybody needs to get off the plane”
