Give me the pitch and I'll figure out how to make it. It might take me ten years with the final product being a 480p animation put together with Windows Movie Maker and MS Paint at 8fps with me doing all the voices, but I'll make it.

...dive into the theological implications more than a priest being like "my god, we were lied to. the Catholic church wanted us to think evil was inside the human heart so we would more easily buy what they were selling"

I almost saw it yesterday, bc I've avoided it so much since it came out—I've read the plot synopses, the threads debating whether it's more straight-up scary or just upsetting in its depiction of grief—that now I need to see it just to overcome my fear of how bad it could be!

According to Wikipedia (see the 'outside France' heading) whether or not to "swing" (not technically swing, but very close to it) Bach music has been a matter of intense debate: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notes_i...

This is undeniably correct, although I do admire how they made it very good by introducing the cherry variant

Ironically, as a church organist, I am also curious about this (I don't pick the songs and I've been too lazy to inquire deeply those who do what their process is)

Checking out the rest of Billy Wilder's filmography after the 75th anniversary of Sunset Boulevard, or just a coincidence?

On the plus (??) side, maybe this will open up a way for people like me to better understand how preaching could perhaps be sacramental, simply by providing a negative counterexample

Was about to be amazed someone else saw George Lucas's not-entirely-good CGI jukebox musical about fairies that my girlfriend once had me watch; then realized you wrote "World," not "Magic"

Superman IV is rightfully trashed but Superman III is an unrecognized masterpiece that doesn't get recognized as such because it trades the grandeur of 1 for the comedy of Walk and Don't Walk lights physically fighting each other, here I stand
