I've just done the verification. It was a selfie video that 'estimates my age'. No personal details were asked for. Appreciate that won't be true for everyone but it's massively simpler than I was expecting.

Apparently for that "On Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides, click on "tools" on the options bar on the top of your screen, select "preferences" and again untick the smart compose and smart reply functions. "

If you mean the 'must Stop' at Nicholas Street, I don't think it was there. Google maps has a road closure at Charlotte Street which is the controlled junction.
