Definitely not a bot or an AI that was inspired by that Portlandia bit with Jason Sudekis.

Happy to be friends if you've gotten the right takeaways from Star Trek or The Good Place.

Honestly, if I were still going to my old church there would be anonymous memes taped up randomly in the building...

I was today years old when I found out that police departments across the nation have been taking on cybertrucks for use in their fleets...

Like, not surprised but the unironic "helping with recruitment" angle gives one pause...

You mean the police want to recruit *more* nazis?

I'm Unsurprised.

Puts pizza in toaster oven... 3 minutes on Bluesky... another 6 on Tumblr looking at DS9 memes, Trek inspired oil paintings and videos of common cats fishing from lakes and then back to Bluesky...

If you want a true alternate history of the United States, one that feels way too true given the last four weeks of immediate history, check out 20th Century Men from Deniz Camp. Shit will put hair on your chest.

I pop over to Tumblr to momentarily forget that civilization is crumbling around us to satiate the bottomless greed of billionaires...

Part of my older gentlemen bucket list is to start my reading of the Milestone Comics back log... It's intriguing that my first steps are Dwayne McDuffie's and Denys Cowan's Hardware (1993) that profiles an engineer going up against a Musk/Stark archetype from within their own company...

I've finally gotten around to watching Hannibal after years of it being on my to-do list... also, my upstairs neighbor has been making noises all weekend like he's intermittently moving around furniture...

...these two added together are not helping my low-level background anxiety... 😅

I've been thinking about Kevin Kelly's book What Technology Wants more and more lately... one of his arguments is even if a nation stimies progress within its borders the rest of the world will still move forward. I try to take some comfort that everyone else will work around us in the meantime.
