Therefore an effectively shorter season but the same number of games. I’d put in a minutes limit per game of 32 minutes to keep Thibs/coaches from playing someone the entire game. Also would keep stars on the court more (less injuries, wear and tear).

82 games x 40 minutes = 3280 total minutes
3280 minutes (new format) / 48 minutes (old format) = 68.333 games in old format.
